Pentillie Castle is the 17th Century home of Cornwall's Coryton family. Boasting an exclusive riverside location with incredible views over the Tamar Valley's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Pentillie Castle is set in more than 500 acres of beautiful park and woodlands.

Licensed for civil ceremonies in three of the receptions rooms, the loggia on the South terrace is also licensed for weddings outside. It is a stunning venue with extraordinary photo opportunities, available for exclusive hire for civil partnerships and wedding receptions.

Entirely private, Pentillie Castle offers a romantic and versatile setting for your wedding, while exclusive hire of the Castle allows you complete freedom to plan the wedding of your dreams.

Explore the gardens and surrounding woodland over the course of a 3 night stay, and enjoy your very own country castle. Explore the idyllic woodland paths lined with snowdrops or bluebells down to the river and across fields, watch out for deer, buzzards and our resident peacocks.

The American Gardens are full of camelias and rhodedendrons during spring and early summer while Autumn does not disappoint either, when the woodland becomes a riot of colour, and stretches of the river and the migratory birds become more visible.

The castle is self-catered although we can organise fabulous local chefs to cater for you during your stay for a truly relaxed experience. We have a wide range of preferred suppliers we can recommend to ensure a seamless and fabulous wedding reception.

Our wine list has been specially compiled by local Master of Wine, Liam Steevenson, and reflects the style of Pentillie Castle - classic, but a little quirky!

Pentillie Castle is currently undergoing an extensive renovation project to fully modernise all amenities ensuring a fully 5 star experience.  The Castle will be completely ready by June 2009.
