German court recognises gay Canadian marriage
Telegraph.co.uk reports: A German man who married his homosexual partner in Canada won a partial victory when a Berlin court ruled that the partnership must be recognised, albeit not as marriage. Germany introduced "registered partnerships" for same-sex couples in 2001 but stopped short of granting them the full rights and privileges afforded to married couples. { BACK } |
